Yeah, I'm here :)
It's almost the end of the year (again). What a year! Let's see, being back to Jakarta as "anak kost" again, enjoying Jakarta, going places (you may call that "mall-hopping" but hey, I went to places as well), meeting new people, and... having my share of a precious one. I learned a lot about myself, and I wish to continue learning and improving myself, so I could be a better person for my beloved people. I wish them well always, and considering so many "thank you"s and "I love you"s left unsaid, I guess I must pay attention more to them than to myself.
Wish you a happy new year too, my fellow LJ friends <3
God Bless You.
Bismillah.

Am I strong enough to walk on water? Smart enough to coming out of the rain? Or am I a fool?

Guess I'd be happy seeing me now, that I respect and appreciate myself as it is, along with some personal qualities that hasn't changed since then (of which I do intend to change, but to no avail :D). Well, maybe a tint of disappointment here and there because I used to dream to be an artist, instead of ended up in this state office XD *A Civil Officer! What kind of 12 year old dream of being a civil officer? XD*
Of course, there are dreams: some are achieved, some aren't, and some are on the way. But we still got plenty of time, don't we? :D
Recently, Indonesian media headlines *say, www.detik.com? :P * have been embellished by news regarding taxation mafia, which mention certain names. One of the names, however, points straight at someone who is working at Directorate of Taxation, the place where I work now. Well, I couldn’t care more about the suspect as long as he gets what he deserves *and he deserves that* but I do care about how he smears the hard-worked reputation that the directorate has been establishing since the internal reformation until now. I have to admit, I’ve heard things about the not-so-brilliant past times and although I can’t guarantee that it’s 100% "clean" by now, but I know that they have spirits in doing so. And I appreciate them for that. Seriously, you have any idea how many copies of "pact of integrity" we’ve signed as new recruits? I appreciate them trying to provide us with a "clean" work environment right from the start, instead of pulling us down to the "old way", like they did in the past. Sure, we still have so much to learn and more challenges waiting ahead to be true professionals, but I hope you people appreciate it. For example, if you happen to see officers doing things they shouldn’t while on duty you can report them to the headquarters. On the other hand, you better think of a way other than bribing. We have very strict rules for this and be sure these are not to be taken easy by the violators.
The thing is, this certain taxation officer seems succeed in triggering people to pull a strike... to boycott taxation. Like, they refuse to pay (taxes) only to have their money go to some scumbags’ pockets. WHAT AN ASININE.
Let me get the logic straight. It is not your money they’re screwing with. It’s their own money they use as bribe. Your money have always been sitting securely in the National Treasury since the moment it is being reduced from your paychecks or since the moment you pay it via bank. "Embezzlement" is when you are paid certain sum of money by taxpayers in exchange for lesser tax than what the taxpayers have to pay, now that's bribing. The first person who should mourn over this is the government itself since it means state's loss in annual budget funding.
Another thing is, how do you expect the government to fund the national expenditure? Oh well, there are always loans. Some hundred trillions a year and at least 3 generations of national debts. I mean, try to think of tax as self-financing. In most capitalistic way, if the worst happens (in case there's any misconduct in using the money), it is your money and you have the right to sue and therefore to keep eyes to the government. While if it’s from loan, you sulk to the government and STILL have to pay the debts anyway. It’s double shit, right? (All of this aside, I’m aware that the supervision of tax money spending is beyond the authority of Directorate of Taxation. You know the jargon, “lunasi pajaknya, awasi penggunaannya.”)

In case you're wondering about this entry's title, it's a song from prajab
Yes, we did sing a lot during prajab, except that it's neither pop or j-pop,but national anthems and some prajab song XD it's amazing how you still remember them after years :p
We had a tight schedule: Morning exercise/report on 5.15, classes from 8 AM to 5 PM or 8 PM, night report, and sleeping. In general, that's how I was doing this last two weeks. I met people from different units, and somehow I had this impression that compared to my last training, my classmates seem more assertive :p Oh, and the exams. GOD KNOWS WHAT KIND OF EXAM THAT WAS. Kemproh! >.<
Okay, enough with that. I'm moving in to my new hostel, torn between two choices to go out or laze around in my room, but end up mobile-updating my journal instead *doh* Hmm I wonder what lies ahead of me. New office, new environment, new people. I wish I were better in dealing with those. Anyway, wish me luck and love! :D Luck and love for you all, my friends :D
Meanwhile, let's sing along:
'Semerah darah, sebening air mata; itu semboyan kita...'

Tempted by ad banner "25% - 90% discount" at Gramedia Delta, last Friday I went there with
ami_fitria. Unfortunately, the very thing I want was not on discount :( so I decided to take a walk around the discount area and guess what... I ended up with three books instead!
*looks at the pile of unread books in my room*
*looks at the new books*
*looks back at the pile of unread books*
WHATEVER~!
So, so, the three newcomers are:
- Totto-chan --> I've read it before but it was my senior's. Nyeheh so glad that I could complete my collection.
- The Winner Stands Alone --> Another Paulo Coelho :D I wonder if the old man can still fascinate me through his simplicity?
- The Book of Lost Things --> I've been considering to buy this, but keep postponing until then :p Now that I'm reading the book, I say it reminds me of Kaori Yuki's Ludwig Kakumei due to the spinoff of the classic tales. But oh, my friends said that the tales were originally gloomy/sadistic from the beginning anyway :p
You know, I really need to get my reading mood back. I don't know if this is the result of reading too much manga scanlations :p but feel that I'm loosing "patience" in reading (long length) novel, unlike what I was before. Worse, I fell asleep while reading XD~ Well, the subject/content of the book is also a factor. XD~ My my.. XD~
Oh, and another thing, I've just found out that the latest series of Glass Mask has been released! Nyaaah.. Bidadari Merah volume 10! No wonder
huntersandkings suddenly got so excited about Glass Mask on plurk last week :D True, I'm rather worried that things would be even more soap opera-ish judging how things go in volume 9, but hell... I guess we all (the readers AND the manga-ka) are really anticipating the ending XD~

...Jakarta.
Early last week, the placement decision was out. Some stay (in their native city), some leave. Some leave to return (to their hometown), some leave to other city/island. Two of my fellow internees and I - that makes three of us - got Jakarta. On the good side, I felt somewhat relieved because I'm not located in God-knows-middle-of-nowhere and because I've already been to Jakarta before. At least I know the general condition there. *welcome, traffic jams* On the down side, that means I have to look for another boarding room. And it seems that less than a year is enough to revert me back to this "home-sweet-home girl" :p Apparently, I'll be moving there soon after prajab this November :D See you there soon, my Jakartan friends! :D
O Allah, I pray to you, wherever and whenever I will be, please protect me from any harm. Hope I will make it alright there and meet quite as nice or even nicer people like I've met before. Amen.

It’s a week of surprises.
Some are happy surprises, like the wedding news of my office colleagues, both will be held next week. Well, the first wedding isn’t that surprising, considering how the two lovebirds doing at the office :D However, the other wedding is. The groom is my colleague, and he’s like being single for while when suddenly he took a leave to his hometown early this October and it was his friend who "announced" the marriage to the whole office. Tehee, anyway happy wedding to you all, hope you’ll get happy family of your own :D
The not-so-happy surprises is, just this Friday the head office issues another annoucement. See, because of certain things, the internees who have IT background are assigned to Directoire of IT and Communication to do this and that, which I suppose involving some audit and blueprint stuff starting NEXT MONDAY. I’m not in the list, but one of my internee friends is. See, the assignment letter said it will only be a week, but the fact is, in the mailing list we were informed *though not officially* that the assignment will take approximately 6 months. SIRS, PLEASE, HOW DO YOU EXPECT TO ASSIGN SOMEONE FOR 6 MONTHS BUT INFORM THEM ONE WORKDAY BEFORE? And not to forget that the prajab will still be going. So, do they expect the internees to head to Jakarta now, then head to their respectable prajab places when the prajab times call, for then head back to Jakarta to finish the 6 months assignment? Okay, we get reimburse but I don’t expect much considering our reimburse for prajab alone is to be paid at uncertain time in the future.
Honestly I’m both saddened and uneasy with this news. I'm saddened that I’m gonna miss (hopefully temporal) one of my fellow internee in such a sudden time. She’s a nice, smart girl who apparently understand my sarcasm :p So far we haven’t had time to take a picture together as fellow internees, since currently some of my fellow internees are undergoing prajab. On the other hand, I feel uneasy because thinking of my own placement. Considering my rank in last training isn’t very good *it’s not bad, but it’s only average so I don’t consider it enough to save me a good place* I wonder WHERE would I be placed? And when the time comes, will it be so sudden? As if you don’t have time to say goodbye properly. Hah.

To all my friends:
EID MUBARAK! \(^^)/
My deepest apology to you all had I done anything that was hurting you.
*OOT*
The most impressive Eid SMS:
(From Okampredz) "panjang tangan itu dosa.. panjang 'anu' itu anugerah.. Tapi di hari yang suci ini, tolong panjangin maafmu buat aku ya ~ dijamin tidak berdoa dan melapangkan dada"

Before saying anything, I'd like thank my fellow internees at Jakarta, who have wholeheartedly helping in archiving documents in regards of our pending salaries. Good job, mates! n(__)n
*and guess now I know what does it mean by "obsessive record keeping"*
OK. After listening to quite a hopeful news regarding our salary last week, today I (and my friends as well) have sadly received the latest news that OUR BACK-PAY SALARIES WILL NOT BE OUT THIS MONTH like what they said it would be if the archiving could be finished this week.
They said it can't be helped, because apparently the external institution who should be taking care of all-the-salary-thingie is also taking care of all-the-budget-realization-thingie, and suddenly has been overloaded by those budget-thingie requests.
*takes a deep breath*
*inhale*
*exhale*
Maybe this year's Iedul Fitri is time to be thrifty :P Anyway, my dear friend *especially fellow Genki Dome* my apology beforehand if I could not give you a treat. I know it's once-in-a-year moment to gather, but what else to say?
Other than that, my concern lies in diklat prajab starting the end of this month, soon after Iedul Fitri. Reading the schedule, it's going to be divided to four phases, and we still don't know who gets which phase. Sure, I'm worried about the life cost. There are rumors about accommodation, but hey, everyday is rumor here ~___~;; Well, at least we have received our base allowance starting this month. Hope it will cover the expenses.
